Trees and more Trees

March 28, 2012
Today was another great day of spring break, Addy had one of her best friends over and they spent most of the time up in the trees. Her friend Hayley will be moving at the end of the year and Addy was pretty upset about it so we have been having her over as much as we can.
Addy gets in a tree when ever she can, even in a skirt and no shoes. I think that Addy is part monkey!
In the afternoon we made some whoopie pies and Boston loved the sprinkles that we put on them a little too much.

Lunch at the Park

March 27, 2012
Today it was going to be another beautiful day so we decided to get out our bikes and ride to the park near by. So we packed a lunch and spent half the day there. It got up to about 80 degrees and I forgot to put sunscreen on us and we got burned a little. For crying out loud its March! I guess we will have to start putting in on now and get use to it.

Addy loves to climb trees, she will ask to climb in any tree she can find. Me and the kiddos!

We walked around a lake and I almost stepped on this baby turtle. The kids picked it up and held it for awhile and then put it bake in the water.

Time OFF

March 26, 2012
Today was the first day of the kids spring break. While Addy was at one of her friends house me and the boys went to the school play ground and played. It was such a beautiful day! The boys love to climb trees and everything they can climb.

These pictures were just too cute I had to put them in there. My mom sent a cape and mask to Carter and Boston and Boston thought they were really cool!

Sundays are really hard for Boston because he misses his nap and so after church he is just exhausted he laid down in Will's lap and got cozy. I like how his hand is down his shorts.

Boston loves basketball. He tried a new trick, putting the ball in the hoop backwards.

The GI Food Challenge

Will's GI group likes to have FUN! So one of the attendings found a place in Boonville, Mo which is only about 45 minutes away from us which has a ice cream parlor that has an ice cream eating contest. Well I guess its more like you can order this bowl of ice cream and you have an hour to eat it and then its free, f you don't its $30. Luckily one of the attendings paid for all the ice cream. This place is called Carrie Lynn's Ice Cream Parlor. This bowl of ice cream has 16 scoops of ice cream, brownie bites, 2 big chocolate chip cookies and whip cream and other things.

There were 4 people from Will's work that did this challenge and none of them finished it. There was one guy that had 4 scoops left and Will took a big chunk out of his but they all left feeling not so good. Will got up after he was done and went to the bathroom and felt much better after he left most of the ice cream, in the bathroom.

The kids thought it was pretty cool to watch their dad do this. I'm not sure when Will will eat ice cream again.

Fun Writings

Carter has brought home a lot of things from school and these two were ones that I really enjoyed. The first one is from a girl in his class talking about how she likes him, and the second one is written by Carter about what he wants to do when he grows up.

It says: When I grow up I want to be a doctor because I want to work on guts and because I want to be like my dad.
I love to see Carter write what he thinks. Carter is beginning to read and its so fun to hear him.

A New Tradtion

This evening we went to some friends house and cerebrated Fat Tuesday with them. We had great food and great fun. When it came time to dessert we had King Cake and we each got to pick the piece that we wanted. With King Cake somewhere in the cake is a little baby and the person who gets it has to bring the cake next year. This is what we did with our friends, I think other people do different things with it. Carter was the one that had the little baby in it so I guess we will be bring the cake next year.
