Today was the open house for all of the "sugarhouses" in Vermont. This is a celebration of the maple syrup season in Vermont. It was our first time since we have been here. We were able to see trees with the buckets attached to them and see the liquid dripping out. When we pulled up we could see the smoke and steam coming from the fire and smell that sweet smell. We were able to try warm right out of the tap maple syrup, maple cotton candy, maple butter, maple salsa. All were excellent.

What a cool thing to do. It's fun to read about all the adventures your family is having in Vermont.
I miss New England! We went to a Vermont sugar shack two years ago in March. It's fun to see the whole process isn't it? I'm glad you're having so much fun exploring back there.
Okay, I'm jealous! I love pure maple syrup. I need to be better at checking people's blogs... your kids are getting so big! They are so cute and you guys look like you're really enjoying where you live.
