The kids have made some great friends and one of Addy's friends lives right across the street. They have been playing lots together, and they decided one day to have a FREE BAKE SALE. A few days ago they went to all our neighbors in the cul-de-sac and told them to come to their free bake sale Saturday morning. So Friday night they baked cookies at Ella's house and decorated them and then later they came over to our house and decorated the cupcakes that I made. Saturday turned out to be a great day and they were ready for their customers by 9am. I think that the kids ate almost all of the cookies and cupcakes but they did have a lot of the neighbors come over and eat their goodies. It was fun to see the kids at work.

School 2011
August 18, 2011
This year the kids started school on the 18th which meant that their summer was cut short a little bit, since in Vermont they didn't get out til June 20th. This year they get to ride on a bus to school which they are super excited about. Addy is in 2nd grade and Carter is starting kindergarten. I am so excited for them and a little nervous about the whole bus thing, since I can't see them actually going into the school. But I know the teachers and are super good about them getting off the bus and getting them into the school. After the kids got on the bus Boston was so sad that they left him, and he was so happy to see them come off the bus.

Campus
August 14, 2011
After church the kids and I went with some of our friends up to the University of Missouri campus and walked around. We went up there with Sam, Lilly, Harlin, Sophie and Suzy, it was a beautiful campus. Lots of room for the kids to run and get ALL their wiggles out, so they are ready for bed.

Grandpa Buzzy!
It has been so hot while Grandpa Buzzy has been there so one day we went up to Devils Icebox Cave to cool off. Devils Icebox is only about 15 minutes away from us and the kids love to go there to find frogs and explore the caves. Once inside the caves we cooled off. We loved to take Grandpa there with us and explore. While we were there the kids found a little salamander and a bunch of frogs. We love going here so much that on Saturday when Will had he day off we went up there again. We love to have Grandpa here with us. We have missed him so much! While Grandpa was here we did more things with him but I guess my camera didn't make it with us. I feel really bad about that, we had such a great time. Grandpa took Addy and Carter fishing to a lake just down the street from us and we went to some really good places to eat. While he was here we also went back to school shopping and he got the kids new backpacks and shoes. We just moved here and so we didn't really know a lot of really cool place to take Grandpa to, plus it was really HOT, so it was hard to go outside. The next time we will take him to more places that we have found. We will miss you so much Grandpa. We love you!

Swim Lessons
During the summer this year I was able to get Addy and Carter into swim lessons. They had a great time and learned lots. I am so excited that next year Boston will be able to take swim lessons because this year it was pretty hard for him not to be able to get int he water.
