Merry Christmas

This year we had probably what you would call a Residents Christmas. On Christmas Eve we picked up Will from work and then we went to some friends house for dinner and sledding. Then we came home and got the kids ready for bed and then opened up most of the presents. Christmas morning before Will had to go to work we opened Santa's gifts. For dinner we met Will at the hospital and had dinner. It was really nice not to have to cook. On Saturday Will came home from being on call all night and then we celebrated with a nice dinner and being together. We all had a great time. We got to Skype all of our family which was really nice. It made it feel like they were in the next room.

Addy the Artist

These are some of Addy's latest pictures that she has brought home. One is of her and then I love the monster. She loves to draw and do anything crafty.

Addy's Quilt

This year Addy wanted a new quilt for her bed. I thought, I can do a quilt, how hard can it be. Well I started this quilt I think in September. I finally got it done the other night, and I don't think I will be making a quilt anytime soon. I am pretty proud of it though. I got a pink sheet set for her to and so I took some of the material and put it on the pillow case. I am excited to see her open it at Christmas.

Christmas Party

Last night was our ward Christmas party, and we had a great time. The Primary did the Nativity, Addy was a Shepherd, and Carter was a cow. It was really cute. Carter did not want to play the part of a cow, but Will persuaded him to do it, if I would not take any pictures, so he agreed. My friend on the other hand did not say she wouldn't take a picture. The kids were so excited for Santa to come. In the malls the kids kept seeing Santa and so they would ask which one is the real Santa? We told them the one that would be at the church is the real Santa, because who wants to pay $15 at the lowest price to sit on Santa's lap at the mall. Addy asked for craft stuff, and Carter asked for a little puppy. I think that Addy will get the craft stuff but Carter is out of luck with the puppy. Our condo does not let us have a dog, but hopefully when we move in 1 1/2 years we could get one. Anyone have any ideas on what to say to a kid that can't have what he wants for Christmas? Boston was not having anything to do with Santa, and it was so funny. Poor little guy! It was so nice to have a day with Will and the family.
