Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve a couple from our ward had us over to their home to go sledding and to have dinner. It was nice get together with friends who were also away from family for Christmas. Addy had a lot of fun on the hill and Carter went down once and never went again. I stayed at the top and took pictures. We had a lot of fun with all our friends.

The Polar Express

So it's been a little while since my last post. Our computer has been going crazy and needs to be fixed, but I was able to get on today so I will try to post as much as I can.
A couple a weeks ago we went to The Polar Express in Burlington. It was a lot of fun. We went down the the train station and got on the train and had hot chocolate and cookies and then it took us down the tracks and back to the train station where we met Santa and he gave each of the kids a bell just like in the movie. Addy and Carter thought it was so cool.

Cheerios, Not Just for Eating!

So Carter for a while has been going off and on to the bathroom, but when ever I ask him if he has to go to the bathroom he would always say "NO". So I was trying to think of how I could make going to the bathroom fun. So I told him that he could pee on Cheerios and that changed his mind. Now he tells me if he has to go to the bathroom, pee and poop. I am so proud of him. For the past two nights he has stayed dry. I hope he continues to do well so that we only have to buy diapers for the baby.

Our First Big Snow Storm

Well, when the kids and I came home from church it was snowing and so we went out and had some fun.

This is the first snow that has actually stuck to the ground and not melted right away. It was pretty bad on the roads too. We went, well we tried to go up to the hospital and have dinner with Will and well, the city of Burlington is on a hill and not to many people were able to get up the hill tonight because it was so icy. We had to turn around and slowly go back home. Maybe next time kids.

Poor Carter

So last Wednesday when I took Carter to the Doctor they gave him a prescription for Amoxicillin. This was his first time on Amoxicillin and we thought he did fine with it. Well on Thursday Carter woke up with spots all over him. They don't itch him which is good they just look bad. Poor Carter had a bad reaction to his medicine. It's kind of hard to tell in these pictures.

Thanksgiving

Well we were suppose to be going to one of our friends house for dinner and then Wednesday afternoon I took Carter to the Doctors. He was not doing so well and so they gave him antibiotics. So I figured we should probably stay home for Thanksgiving. Addy was very upset that we were not going to our friends house to have turkey, so that night I went out and found a turkey that was not frozen. Addy helped me make a pumpkin pie. So we did have turkey dinner and we were thinking that Will would not get home until about 8pm but he made it home at 2:30pm. So that was very nice. I am glad to say that Carter is feeling a lot better. We did have a lot to be thankful for.

We Finally Did it!

So Sunday we woke up to go to church and it was 56 degrees in our house and about 20 degrees outside. We had ice on our windows and we couldn't wait to get in the car to turn on our heat. We have not turned on our heater in our home in hopes that we could save some money. So we have been layer our clothes and we all got slippers. Well, after we got home from church we could not get warm and so we turned on our heater. The kids loved the warmth and laid by our heater for quit some time. It's amazing what a few degrees will do.

Addy Turns 5!

On Saturday Addy turned the BIG 5 years old. She showed me when she woke up that she could jump higher and that she grew bigger. Will had the day off and we went to Madagascar 2 the movie. Then we came home and had pizza, ice cream and cake with some of our friends Troy and Mindi and Nate, Di and Chase. She loved all her presents.

Happy Halloween

So Addy was a princess and she made her own crown, Carter was a spider. We went out last night for about 1/2 an hour and then the kids were done. Will kept telling me that I dressed them too warm, which I did. It was not that cold out last night. Our kids looked pretty puffy in all their snow gear. I think Addy and Carter had more fun giving candy out to the kids at our door. Will was able to make it home to help me take the kids out last night. We had a great Halloween!

So I'm sure most of you guys have seen the email that people are sending that you start out playing tic tac toe and then a monster comes on screaming. Well I let Carter play them game and his reaction was, well see for your self.

We Were The Leaf Peepers!

So in Vermont people come from all over to look at the fall foliage, and the people in Vermont call these people "Leaf Peepers". So on Sunday it was my parents last day and we became the Leaf Peepers. We took rout 15 to 100 and took in all the foliage. We saw two covered bridges and we even went to The Trapp Family Lodge, which is on top of this mountain and that has a great view. It was sad to see my parents and my sister leave. It was so good to see them. Addy and Carter would fight over who could sit by Teasha and my Mom in the Car. Thanks for coming Grandpa and Grandma Tew and Teasha, we had a blast. We will MISS YOU!

Autumn Harvest Fest

On Saturday we went to an Autumn Fest, just down the road from us. Addy was so excited because they had wagon rides. From the wagon ride it took them to a pumpkin patch where they got to pick out their own pumpkins. Addy and Carter decorated a Halloween bucket and then we had cider and cider donuts. They also had a bouncy area that Carter did not want to get out of. It's so cool that they have so many Fall Festivals around here. They really live up the fall time before winter hits.
In the afternoon we went down to Lake Champlain and the kids found shells. It was really pretty. We love having Grandpa and Grandma Tew and Teasha here.

First Official Visitors

Late Wednesday night my parents and my youngest sister came into town and were our first official visitors. We were very excited to see them. Addy and Carter woke up at 6:30am and tried to wake them up. The first day we just hung around, the kids played with them outside and had a blast. On Friday we went up to Sharon, Vermont, the birthplace of Joseph Smith and saw the memorial. There was such a calm feeling and it was very beautiful there. The granite monument is 38 1/2 feet tall, one foot for every year of the Prophet's life. It weighs 40 tons and is one of the largest single pieces of flawless granite in the world. It took 33 days to move the granite 5 1/2 miles using oxen and 22 horses. It was amazing!
We then went to Ben and Jerry's and had ice cream. The kids loved it. Then we went to Cabot cheese and had samples, Chaplain chocolate, Pajama gram, and Vermont teddy bear. The kids did very good in the car.

Applefest

Applefest

On Saturday the kids and I and Mindi went to the Applefest in South Hero. I think everyone and their dog was there. There was little booths of food and crafts up and down this road. Everything smelt so good. The kids got to ride a horse which they thought was cool. The colors of the trees here are so pretty.

Florida

Florida

On Saturday Will and I went to Orlando, Florida for a conference that Will was presenting two posters at. This conference was all about Gastroenterology stuff, and in Medical School Will did two research projects and so he presented his posters and his research material at this conference. The conference took place at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. Wow, that place was BIG and very nice. NO, we did not stay there. We met up with Will's mom and her husband Duane at the conference and then hung out with them when we were not at the conference. It was fun to be a part of "Will's World" for three days, even though he will say that that is not "His World" yet. It was very different than staying home with two children and understanding what they were saying. I would talk to people and just nod my head like I knew what the heck they were talking about. But it was fun. That was the first time in almost 9 years of marriage that I had gone to one of those. While we were there Duane and Suzy took us out to eat and then on Monday our last day they took us to Sea World. We went to the Shamu show and we were able to sit right up front. We were in the soak zone but didn't get soaked. Thank Heavens. It was so good to see Duane and Suzy. Thank you guys for everything.

Oh, our kids your probably wondering about. We have some wonderful friends that moved from Utah with us, that were so nice to watch our kids for three days. The kids had so much fun. Sometimes when I would call, Addy didn't want to talk because of all the fun they were having. They have a big dog named Maggy, that Addy and Carter liked playing with. I heard that Addy was able to walk Maggy one day and that it was more like Maggy took Addy for a walk. We appreciate Mindi and Troy so much for watching our kids. They were in great hands while we were away. Thank You So So Much you guys!

Some people where wanting a belly shot, so just to let you know there is a belly shot in the slid show.

We had a fun weekend together. I love spending time with Will when ever I can. We were very excited to see the kids again. We love them so much!

A little of what we have been doing

We are all doing pretty well. Addy loves her pre-school and she asks every day if today is school. It's been nice to have some one on one time with Carter. He likes to wash his hands by himself and one day I was changing his diaper and he said that he wanted to wash his hands, and when I went in to check on him I found this. It was too cute, I had to take a picture. One day the kids wanted to play make up, they love that. Addy went to town on his face. Carter loved it. Will is doing well in his rotations. He stays very busy. We love it when he has time off. I am doing good. I am getting bigger. This pregnancy has been good. No problems. The kids are excited about their baby brother. I stay pretty busy with the kids and the house, but I love it.

Tag!!

Ok, so I was tagged by Chalen to do a post about Addy.

Name and Meaning: Adyson Lee. Well when we were thinking about names we really liked Kylee and then Will went to a conference and he was talking to some girls and he said that his wife was pregnant and one of the girls said when she has a girl she wanted to name her Adyson. Well he called me and told me the story and we both really like the name. When he got home we were talking about it more and then he was not so sure about it because it was the name of the little boy in Star Wars. I laughed and then told him, his name was Anakin Skywalker. So we kept them name, but we didn't like how everyone spelled it Addison it was not girly enough for us. We went out to dinner with some of our friends, Brian and Trisha and we were talking about the name, and it was one of those restaurants were they give you crayons and the table cloth was a white paper. So we were trying different spellings of the name and Trisha spelled it Adyson and we loved it.

Age: 4 1/2, Addy will not let you forget that half. Her birthday is in November.

Nicknames: Addy, little one, cutie

Favorite Activities: Addy loves to be outside riding her bike, loves to play games on the computer at Noggin.com, loves to do her homework book.

Favorite Foods: Grilled Cheese, only from restaurants though, mom does not make them good enough, pizza and spaghetti.

Least Favorite Foods: Most fruit besides bananas and craisins.

Favorite Music: I love to see the Temple. I am a child of God. This one not so good, she loved to dance to this song My Humps by Black Eyed Peas, funny thing, if you go to Utube.com and search out "cute little girl dancing to My humps" Addy will come up and she has some moves. I'm not sure where she gets them from. Again I'm not proud of the song she is dancing too.

Favorite Toy:Polly Pockets

Favorite Book: Love Ruby Valentine

Favorite Item of clothing:Her sparkly pants

What makes her Happy: She has these little Polly Pocket dolls that she loves me to play with her with. She loves to hold any baby, but she loves to hold our friends son Chase. She loves when her brother does not bother her. She loves when her dad comes home and they rough house and he throws her on the lovesac. She loves to go to school.

What makes her Sad: When her brother hits her or bites her. When I don't play with her.

Waterbury

Last weekend we took the kids to Waterbury which is only about 30 min away and we had a picnic and played around for a while. The kids loved throwing rocks into the water. Will and I took some pictures of just us, which does not happen too often when your parents. There might be one of us kissing, so just deal with it. Just kidding. We love to spend time with Will when he is home. He is such a wonderful husband and a great Dad! He does so much for us. We love you Willie!

Leddy Beach

This week has been in the high 80, and so one day after Addy was done with school we went down to this beach that is right down the road from us and cooled down. We had a lot of fun. Addy was able to walk out pretty far, she found lots of cool rocks. Carter loved to splash in the water and roll around in the sand.

1st Day of School

On September 2, Addy started preschool. Her teachers are very nice and she was so excited to be going again. She was counting down the days. I was very excited too, but a little scared because I didn't know the teachers before. Last year Addy's teacher was one of our really good friends, Diana Kofford, I knew she would be safe and learn lots. This preschool is fairly close to our house and the teachers seem very nice. I can't believe she is getting so big! Addy and Carter hugging goodbye

Another Boy!

For a lot of people who didn't know we were pregnant, SURPRISE! We found out right before we moved from Utah that we were pregnant. We didn't tell our family until about 3 weeks ago. They were Happy for us.
So my ultrasound was today and it went great. The baby moved around a lot so they could not get great shots. But they were able to tell that he was healthy. We were kind of hoping for a girl, but another boy is great! He did show himself well I guess, The doctor said it was pretty clear he was a boy. You can see in the picture that says BOY, there is a little arrow which points to something. I didn't have a scanner so I had to take pictures with my camera of the pictures. So they are not the best. At the end they did 3D pictures which was really cool. He was curled up so tight in a ball so it was hard to get a good shot. We also got a DVD of the whole ultrasound that we showed the kids. We are very excited, January 24, 2009 we will have a new addition to the family.

Baby Boy

Two boys and One Girl

So I had my ultrasound today and I asked Addy what she thought she was having a brother or a sister and when I told her she was first excited and then she walked to the window and it it's not in the video but she said later "I'm not sure about having two brothers".
She will be a great sister to another brother.

Funny Carter

So we were driving by a river one day and Carter kept saying "rivet, rivet, rivet". For a long time we could not figure out what he was saying. We found out he was talking about the river. We tried other words that have the ER sound at the end and we here is what we came up with. The best word he says is booget, (booger) Watch the video but first scroll to the bottom of our blog page and turn down the volume on the music and then you can hear him. We love Carter

Boston Trip

On Friday we drove to Boston. Funny story, you have to go through a toll both on the way to Boston that we didn't know about. Well we don't' keep a lot of cash around and so we had to search the car and my purse and find a dollar to get through. So now we keep money in the car just in case we go through any more tolls. When we got to Boston we spent the night and in the morning we went to the New England Aquarium. We saw Penguins, seals, turtle, sharks and lots of fish. We also went to the IMAX theatre and saw a movie on Dolphins and whales in 3D. That was funny to watch Addy and Carter the first time seeing the Dolphins come right at them. Both of their hands came up to touch the dophins and Carter kept saying "I touched them". We also went to a little fountain that the kids loved to play in until Carter got knocked down by an older kids. He was very upset about it and the whole way home he said "that boy mean, head hurt" We had so much fun together. It was one of our last weekends together for awhile so we thought we would make the best of it.
