Last Friday the kids had the day off, and so we went with some friends and went apple picking. The kids had fun looking for all of the red apples and being with their friends. Carter and Boston each found an apple and ate the whole thing. It was a nice day with a little bit of a chill. It got us ready for fall time. With all the apples, we have dried some, made apple muffins, and apple pie.

Bye Bye Curls!
Oh, how I have loved those curls. Boston has been my only kid who has had curls, and it was so fun to see the ringlets. For church I would wet his hair and then put style stuff in it and he looked so adorable. His curls were so Boston. Well all that came to an end today. The curls were getting to long and so Will took him up to the bathroom and started cutting. These are a couple of BEFORE pictures.

First Day of School
Well it's another year and Addy is now in 1st grade and Carter is in pre-school again. They both have great teachers. I can't believe that Addy is in first grade. That seems so old. Addy seems so grown up. Just today she lost her 4th tooth. She is so excited that she gets to learn Spanish and she get to bring home 2 books each week. Carter never wants to leave school, and is always so upset when I come to get him. Carter loves to play with all his friends and is so excited to be there with his same teachers as last year.

The State Fair
We went to the fair last week while Will had some time off, and when we went it was 90 degrees. We were HOT, but we had a lot of fun. Carter and Boston got to ride a donkey and a horse and Boston thought that was pretty cool.

Grandpa is Here
Grandpa Cobell came in on Saturday morning and we are so excited to have him here with us. This was Boston Sunday morning trying to fit into grandpa's shoes. The kids loved playing guitar hero with grandpa.
