Swim Team

From the End of May to the beginning of July 2013
This year I put Addy and Carter in our pools swim team instead of just taking a week and a half of swim lessons.  The first day was a cold day and both kids got out and were crying, saying they didn't want to do this anymore.  It was so hard to watch, but I told them this was good for them and the water would get warmer and they would love it by the end.  Well, long story short they are done with swim team and all the competitions and they loved it!  They had wonderful coaches that helped them out with what ever they needed even if it was some one on one time.
At the first meet it was still pretty chilly and Addy got right in there and did great doing the breast stroke.  After she was done she said that she wanted to do more the next time.  This is Addy and her friend and next door neighbor Ella.
Carter was very very nervous, there was a lot of people and it was really loud and so he didn't want to do it.
Addy was not happy that she had to wear the swim cap and that I took her picture

Addy at her second meet did the breast stroke and free style.  Every time she got better and better.  This meet Carter was all ready to participate and then he got sick with strep throat, so he was not able to do it.

At our third meet it was at our pool and Carter did the free style and did great!  Carter, us and all his coaches were so excited that he did it, after wards he said that he wanted to try a different race next time so we got him into a relay.

Look at those cute little swimmers!
At our last meet Carter did his free style and then a free style relay.  In his own he got second place and his relay got first!

In Addy's last meet she did, free style, breast stroke, back stroke, free style relay and medley relay.  In the free style she went and did the first leg and last leg because they were short people.  She is like a little fish in the water!  In Addy's races she took second, third and fourth.

It was so much fun to watch and cheer them on I'm so excited to watch them next year!
